I’m a marketer and community leader with 13+ years of experience, having worked at big holding companies and tech startups. Throughout my career, I’ve juggled full-time roles while keeping a freelancing side hustle going. After being laid off on May 1st, 2023, I took the leap to become a full-time consultant—keeping myself and my two boys (aka cats) thriving, not just surviving!
Born and raised in New York City, I was born into the hustle. I’m all about collaborating with projects and companies that are making the world a better place. It fills me with pride and fulfillment, and gives me the flexibility to live life on my own terms—working from wherever and living the life I love.
My daily routine is pretty chill—think comfy sweats, hard work, and lots of Zoom calls during business hours. When I’m not working, you’ll find me cooking up something delicious, planning adventures with my loved ones, connecting with my community, or enjoying quality time with my partner as we daydream about our next big adventure.

I’m Amelia Tran! I’ve spent the last 13+ years in the fast-paced world of tech & marketing, collaborating with startups, agencies, and tech companies to build brands and help them grow. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing names like L’Oréal, Google, and Shell, and leading teams at holding companies like Omnicom and WPP, as well as innovative tech companies like iSpot.
The one thing that’s remained constant through my journey? My love for bringing people together and driving positive change. This passion led me to found Asteria Collective, a full-service marketing and events company where we focus on amplifying brands, accelerating growth, and creating meaningful connections. It's not just about strategy; it's about making a lasting impact and helping businesses thrive in ways that matter.
Over the years, I’ve also been lucky enough to partner with trailblazing tech companies, helping them scale with innovative marketing strategies, impactful events, and strategic partnerships. Since 2011, I've worked with businesses of all sizes, delivering results that have helped elevate brands and teams alike. I’m also the proud organizer of Mosaic, a vibrant digital marketing community that brings together over 800 professionals and has earned national attention for our events. From intimate meetups to large-scale conferences, I’ve managed hundreds of events on behalf of Mosaic and other organizations designed to foster collaboration and spark innovation.
One of the things that really drives me is the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to grow, especially women and underrepresented groups in marketing and tech. That's why I’m deeply committed to creating spaces where these communities can connect, learn, and succeed. I’m proud of the work I’ve done through Asteria to empower others and the initiatives I support that give underrepresented voices a seat at the table.
In fact, I’ve been fortunate enough to be recognized for my efforts along the way, receiving multiple accolades, including the Changemaker Award from Baruch College. I was also the only person at Mediacom selected for the Advertising Club of New York Fellowship for rising female leaders, and, as a fun milestone, I placed 3rd in my first hackathon, stemmed from finding fulfillment during the pandemic. These achievements are a reminder that when you put in the work, the impact can be far-reaching—and that’s what motivates me to keep pushing forward.
When I’m not strategizing or organizing, you’ll find me cooking up something (typically) delicious, planning my next adventure with my loved ones, or connecting with my community. I’ve also spent a lot of time advising minority- and women-owned startups, offering my insights to help them succeed in their own journeys. And while my home base is New York City, I’m a global explorer at heart—having visited every continent except Antarctica.
At the end of the day, what motivates me most is knowing that the work I do is helping people, creating opportunities, and making the world a little bit better. Whether I’m working on a marketing strategy, mentoring someone, or building a community, it’s all about pushing boundaries and making a lasting impact.
